The Standards Committee looked at the effectiveness of the reconsiderations and appeals process in its work programme for 2004/5. In doing so it canvassed for views on the system for various benefits.
The consultation period is now over. The DWP Standards Committee received more than 1,300 responses to the Reconsideration and Appeal Questionnaire which was issued as well as 350 internal responses and valuable contributions from their Customer Representative Consultation Group.
