The Child Trust Fund was a long term savings and investment scheme which aimed to encourage the habit of saving and make sure that every child has savings at the age of 18.
From 3 January 2011 there will be no further child trust fund payments apart from certain residual payments made to disabled children’s CTF accounts which will cease after 5 August 2011.
