On 8 December a special debate was held in the Commons on the future of disability benefits for older people. The debate was called due to the proposal in the care reform green paper that attendance allowance (AA) potentially be ended, with its funding diverted to council social services. DA's response to the green paper and defence of AA was quoted extensively in the debate.
