This user-friendly guide, rewritten so that it can be used with the redesigned claim form introduced in April 2007, takes you through the process of making a claim for disability living allowance. It explains the qualifying conditions for the benefit and goes through the claim form question by question, providing help and suggestions on how best to present evidence to support your claim. The guide also explains how decisions are made and what you can do if you're not happy with a decision.
Keeping a diary is often the best way of collecting and presenting evidence for the many older people whose conditions fluctuate from day-to-day and there is a whole chapter on this, with diary examples for you to follow.
