DA contacted the five candidates seeking to lead the Labour Party (and potentially the country) to ask their views of the Tackling Disability Poverty manifesto we published with 16 national partner organisations in December 2009. Now Labour is in Opposition – and with significant coalition Government work affecting disabled people – we have received considerable interest from MPs in our work and especially in the manifesto aims.
The short responses we have now received from Andy Burnham, Ed Balls, David Miliband and Dianne Abbott are available:
Sadly Ed Miliband has not yet replied. If we hear from him before the Labour nominations process closes we’ll let you know.
