Disability Alliance is a registered charity (No 1063115), which aims to break the link between disability and poverty. Membership is open to voluntary and charitable organisations, trade unions and statutory bodies who share or wish to support our aims and objectives.
For more information about what we do see our about us page.
By joining you can help us improve the living standards of disabled people throughout the UK. You’ll also help us to monitor the effects on disabled people of specific social policies and benefits legislation.
We, in turn will ensure through our parliamentary work that questions are asked and issues are tackled which directly address the concerns you raise. Representatives of member organisations may also stand for election to our Board of Trustees, which will give you a chance to assist in guiding the future work of the organisation.
Disability Alliance held its annual general meeting and half-day conference at the NCVO on Monday 22 October 2007, between 2.00pm and 4.30pm. The subject of the conference was "Disabled people and work - access, discrimination and benefits", which gave attendees a chance to question Terry Rooney, Chair of the DWP Select Committee about recent select committee proposals.
