Disability Alliance’s Tribunal Support Unit has been supporting advisers in the Greater London area for over 2 years. Funded by the Big Lottery fund, the unit provides support to advisers who need to challenge social security benefit decisions on behalf of their clients.
Simply complete our questionnaire or contact the tribunal support unit by post, phone or email.
The Tribunal Support Unit has a number of useful free factsheets and other publications available to download. These cover decision making, gathering medical evidence and appeals to both tribunals and commissioners.
We have also produced a more detailed 48 page guide on appeals entitled Benefit appeals: A guide to benefit appeals for advisers and disabled people.
There is a special discount on this publication if you are a Tribunal Support Unit member. Contact the tribunal support unit for more information.
The TSU held an employment and support allowance (ESA) seminar at the Resource Centre in London on 2 October 2007.
The event, which had guest speakers and workshops, was well attended. The feedback from attendees was very positive with requests made for more such events.
